Where can I buy a spare tire for my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
Someone stole the spare tire in the back of my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2007 (both rim and tire). I have the 18 inch aluminum wheels. Where can I buy another for cheap?
Junkyards, Ebay and Craigslist for a stock rim. You could get a cheap steel wheel in the correct size and go with that, probably about $100 or less. It wouldn’t effect the way the thing drove with it on, it would be a little heavier than the stock aluminum wheel, but the difference would be negligible. The opposite of a doughnut spare.
It would look ugly, but hit up a dealer that has branded covers on their Jeeps and see if you can talk them into giving you one or selling you one REALLY cheap. At my last lot we would sell them for $10 bucks if the cheap boss was in or let customers have one. Free advertising.
Next thing is invest in 3 lugs that require a ‘key’ (special socket attachment) to get off. Three of them will deter thieves, while one may not.
Would you rather buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited or a Jeep Patriot?
I am in highschool and I am looking for a Jeep, I really like both of them, more so the Jeep Wrangler because I can take the top down. Which one would you rather buy the Jeep Wranger Unlimited http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2006/07/jeep-wrangler-unlimited.jpg
or the Jeep Patriot
Assuming that both of them have a 2007 make.
They always look good clean or dirty.
What kind of experiences have you had with the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
I am considering buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I have a job that frequently takes me to muddy construction sites, dirt roads, and live in upstate NY so deal with sometimes interesting winters. I also want a convertible. Maybe a Jeep is the best of both worlds. I have generally stayed away from American car makers becuase of their less then steller build quailty. But after 5 years with a VW Jetta that has spent a lot of time at the shop, I don’t want to deal with something that is going to be consistantly having stupid annoying things go wrong with it. Something else that is appealing to me about the Wranglers is the fact that their resale value seems to stay pretty good compared to other cars of the same vintage.
So, after all of that, the simple question remains, what have been your experiences with the Wrangler Unlimited: what has gone wrong, what has gone right, recalls, dealer experience, etc.
Great vehicles. They are not the fastest vehicles, nor the most fuel efficient. But man, they are fun to drive. They love sand and snow. There are tons of aftermarket companies that sell accessories to make it more specific to your needs. The Unlimited is nice for the fact that you can hold more cargo and tow more than the shorter wheelbase. Now, in a few more months, Jeep will introduce the redesigned Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. There will even be a four door Wrangler. You may want to wait to either buy the 2007 model or get a great deal on the 2006. Good luck. Here is the information on the four door model.:

should i buy a 06 jeep wrangler Unlimited with a rebuilt flood title?
its a 06 jeep wrangler unlimited with 25000 miles on it and have had it checked out a a local dealership and they said they said they see absolutly no sign of any water damage at all and the jeep has been driven daily for at least 7 months since he bought it? what to do … a dealership sold this to him and they boought it from a salvage auction i think im not sure though andthere isnt any other info i can locate on it other then it was made in aug of 05 but not delivered until march of 07 then totaled a few months later …and sold at auction
Jeeps are a very strong vehicle. They were made to go places where no other vehicle can. I have had my 2005 Rubicon under water to about a foot above the front seats. I still drove it home and it is fine. If it is seven months later and is still running it is fine. If the interior is bad, take the carpet out and get some truck bed liner and replace the seats with some Mastercraft 5 point harness seats. I never really liked the stock TJ seats either. The diffrentials might need to have their fluid changed but that is it.
And please whoever posted above me, DO NOT CALL A JEEP A car.
